Hans Tino Hansen, CEO of the Risk Intelligence, emphasized in the interview that the US and the other coalition forces aim to avoid escalating the situation to a regional conflict. He highlighted that their operations are currently defensive to protect commercial shipping in the Red Sea. Additionally, he mentioned that crews on hijacked ships should not expect military rescue operations due to the high risks involved compared to the potential gains, as seen in the case of the ship Galaxy Leader hijacked by the Houthis.

The CEO also underlined the evolving threat landscape posed by the Houthis from Yemen. As they expand their target profile to include ships heading to Israeli ports, Hansen stressed the need for shipping companies to conduct thorough threat assessments. Outdated or incorrect data about a ship could lead to it being targeted, even if it has no direct connections to Israel. Navigational decisions should be made based on a careful evaluation of the Houthis' perceptions.
