The Regional Risk Assessment is a semi-quantitative threat assessment model & report designed to provide a regional guide, outlook and checklist for a specific fleet or multiple routes through the region in question.

Regional Risk Assessment

A Regional Risk Assessment, or RRA, is designed to aid decision-making and planning for a fleet of multiple vessels, or for multiple routes or operations within a region. The RRA provides the necessary information required create regional or operation specific mitigation plans, hardening packages, training requirements and procedures or for general risk management. The RRA is a semi-quantitative threat assessment model and regional report (e.g. of the Indian Ocean, West Africa or South East Asia), and includes a risk assessment for the fleet or route(s) in question.

What is included in a Regional Risk Assessment?

A typical outline of Risk Intelligence’s RRAs is:

Threat and Environment Report ca. 10-30 pages, main body updated every 6 months or more frequent
Vessel/Operations/Type/Class specific risk assessment (VCRA) -one per class/operation ca. 20 pages
Voyage Risk Assessments ca. 2 pages, short VRA based on a Threat Assessment and VCRA
